Thanks to IRARA’s support Anthony has been able to re-establish a profitable computer centre business, which has resulted in financial independence.
Anthony, who had already returned to Nigeria in 2023, finds hope again through reintegration support.
BACKGROUND
Before migrating to the UK Anthony ran a computer business centre in Nigeria. He decided to relocate to the UK in the hope of finding better employment and improving his living conditions. After living in the UK for 4 years he was unable to find work and he made the decision to return home to Nigeria. He didn’t know at this time that he would be entitled to receive reintegration support.
REINTEGRATION
Shortly after his return IRARA got in touch with Anthony and explained the reintegration services he could benefit from. He was delighted to receive this news. Through the counselling offered by IRARA Anthony was able to access post return support which he decided to use to set up a computer business providing printing, photocopying, laminating, and document design services to the local community.
His business has been very successful due to his previous experience in the sector and strong connections with the local university where he lived. Due to his dedication and commitment to offering reliable services Anthony has regained the trust and appreciation of his customers.
Unfortunately, Anthony has been ill since his return to Nigeria, but the success of his business has allowed him to pay for his medication and he is now enjoying his
recovery.
AT A GLANCE
After spending four years in the UK, Antony returned to his hometown of Abraka, Nigeria.
He set up a computer business, drawing on his previous experience in the industry.
He has regained the trust of his community by providing them with essential services.
The support has given him financial independence, allowing him to pay for medication and recover from an illness
