Background:
Miriam, a 26-year-old Colombian, emigrated to Finland in search of a better quality of life. When she received news that she had to return to Colombia, she saw an opportunity to start anew rather than viewing it as a setback
Reintegration:
Upon her return, Miriam joined the European Reintegration Programme (EURP) offered by Frontex in Colombia through IRARA and ASODDHH. The programme equipped her with the tools and guidance she needed to settle back home and strengthen her entrepreneurial vision.
With this support, Miriam was able to establish her own carpentry business. Today, she receives daily contracts to beautify homes and businesses, transforming her skills into a sustainable source of income. She remains deeply grateful to the Reintegration Programme for its role in her success.
At a glance:
This programme gave me the tools to transform my skills into a thriving carpentry business. I am very thankful.
