Salary: £28,000 – 35,000
Location: Flexible – generally remote, with some travel to the Sheffield office and other locations required

We are on an ambitious growth journey – strengthening our core and boldly expanding. We are now looking to recruit a Junior Power BI Developer to join our Data Management and Insight team.
Role Overview:
The Junior Power BI Developer will be working on a number of different dashboards used across the organisation, which include information from a variety of sources.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your Power BI skills within a data management and insight function within a growing international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and maintenance of our Power BI dashboards used by senior leadership, case managers, global and partner organisations.
- Prepare, clean, and transform data using Power Query (M Code), DAX.
- Work with SQL, SharePoint, Excel, and OneDrive-based data sources; support integration with Power Automate and Azure Cloud services.
- Collaborate with the Data and case management teams to ensure data is accurate, timely, and actionable.
- Support the creation of data glossaries and documentation for dashboard functionality to ensure reports are self-service friendly.
- Ensure all reports adhere to IRARA’s data governance, GDPR, and ethical data practices.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Good understanding of Business Intelligence programs, Power BI, Tabular Editor.
- Experience with Power Query (M Code), DAX, MySQL, SQL for transforming and appending datasets.
- Familiarity with the Power Platform applications, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for working with data.
- Basic understanding of Azure environments (e.g., SQL Database, Virtual Machines, Gateways)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks.
- Strong communicator – able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Team player with a commitment to humanitarian values and service improvement.
